Philicia Saunders is an American actress of Jamaican parentage. She is best known for her role as Tabala Zo in the Star Wars Universe, The Force Awakens and The Rise of Skywalker.  Born in Los Angeles, her early formal education nurtured her interest in the performing arts.  

Philicia has lent her voice to short film 'By Their Fruit' as Radio Host, and feature horror film 'Dawning' as Dr. Philicia Barnes. She also provided ADR for feature film '10 Cloverfield Lane.'

Her extensive experience in on-camera work adds to her versatility as a voice over actor. She has credits that include Star Wars: Episodes 7 and 9, Jupiter's Legacy, Black is King, Side Hustle, Speechless, Strange Angel, REL. Philicia speaks conversational Spanish and Japanese.

Philicia received her BA from Princeton University in East Asian Studies and Theater and MFA in Acting from UCLA, School of Theater, Film & TV.
